ユービーアイソフトは2009年3月6日（金）、プレイステーション3/Xbox 360向けソフト『プリンス・オブ・ペルシャ』のダウンロードコンテンツ「プリンス・オブ・ペルシャ・エピローグ」（以下、「エピローグ」）のダウンロード販売を開始する。
『プリンス・オブ・ペルシャ』は、古代ペルシャ神話の世界観をモチーフとしたアクションゲーム。主人公・プリンスと、ヒロイン・エリカの2人が、暗黒の神「アーリマン」によって穢れてしまった世界を浄化させるべく、旅を続けていく。
「エピローグ」は、「PlayStation Store」と「Xbox LIVE マーケットプレース」でそれぞれ販売され、PS3版は1,200円（税込）、Xbox 360版は800マイクロソフトポイントで購入できる。この追加コンテンツでは、復活した「アーリマン」から逃げ、「地下神殿」を冒険するという、本編エンディング後のストーリーを楽しむことが可能だ。
「エピローグ」では、穢れに覆われた重く寒々しい雰囲気の新ステージ「地下神殿」を冒険することができるようになる。「地下神殿」では多数の穢れが壁をうごめき、それらの動くスピードも不規則に変化するなど、本編に登場するステージよりもさらに難易度の高いトラップが多数設置されている。また、ウォールランやジャンプなどで移動しなければならない距離が延びており、一度転落してしまうとかなり長い距離を戻されてしまう。
また「エピローグ」には、新たな敵「シェイプシフター」が登場する。この敵は、本編に登場した「ハンター」と「ウォリアー」が合体したボスで、初めに「ウォリアー」の形態で襲いかかり、こちらが攻撃を加えようとすると「ハンター」へと変化するという特徴がある。各形態ごとに対処法が必要があり、その上動きも複雑になっているので、容易には倒せない強敵となっている。
さらに、本編に登場した「パワープレート」に関して、5つ目が登場する。この「パワープレート」は崩壊したエリアを少しの時間だけ元に戻し、通り抜けることができるエリカの魔法を引き出すものとなっている。
ほかにも、新たな攻撃パターンとして、敵とプリンスがダッシュで距離を詰め、つばぜり合いを行うというものが追加。さらにエリカとプリンスの新コスチュームもアンロックされる。
