エヌ・シー・ジャパンは2008年11月18日（火）、同社のMMORPG『リネージュ 〜The Cross Rancor〜』において、来る12月9日（火）午前10時に追加アップデートを行い、『リネージュ エピソード Re：ファイナル（以下、エピソード Re：ファイナル）』として新たにサービス開始すると発表した。これに伴い、同日より『エピソード Re：ファイナル』の特設サイトもオープンしている。
詳細なアップデート内容についてはまだ不明だが、『エピソード Re:ファイナル』では、ダンジョン「水晶の洞窟」がリニューアルされるほか、傭兵システムや便箋システムなどの利便性向上、個人倉庫の最大保管個数増加、新システムとなる同盟システムの追加などの要素が盛り込まれる予定とのこと。また、このアップデートを記念して今後、リネージュラッキーゲームやゲーム内イベントなども併せて開催される予定となっている。これらのイベント内容や、アップデートの詳細については特設サイトで順次発表を行っていくとのことなのでお見逃しなく。
