エレクトロニック・アーツはWii、プレイステーション3、Xbox360で発売を予定していたサッカーゲームシリーズ最新作『FIFA 08 ワールドクラス サッカー』の発売日を2007年12月20日に決定したと発表しました。
『FIFA 08 ワールドクラス サッカー』はリアルサッカーを追及してきたシリーズの最新作。今回は初めてWiiでも発売される事が決定、今までとは異なるプレイ感覚を実現しました。圧倒的なデータ量で約600チーム、約13000人、スタジアムやボールなどを収録しています。当然実名表記され、今シーズンの着用キットを完全再現して搭載しています。
Wii版ではリモコンとヌンチャクで直感的な操作を実現。ボールを蹴りたい時にはリモコンを振ります。強弱を直感的な再現します。また、操作方法の変更に伴って視点も横視点から縦視点に変更。選手のモーションも、リモコン使用をよりダイレクトに感じられるようにアニメーションが従来よりも大きく表現されるようになっています。
ロナウジーニョのMiiがもらえる「フッティーパーティー」というモードも登場。「テーブルサッカー」「リフティング」「PKゲーム」の3つのゲームをWiiリモコンを振りながらプレイします。高得点を重ねるとオリジナルのMiiが手に入り、最終的にFCバルセロナ所属、ロナウジーニョ選手のMiiを目指します。
PS3とXbox360版では新設されたEAカナダのFIFA AIチームが全く新しいFIFA CPUAIを開発。競り合いでのルーズボールのこぼれ方、フェイントをかけた際のディフェンスの動きなど、プレイしているユーザーにとって納得いく動きを再現しているということです。
発売は12月20日、価格はWii版は6090円、PS3版は7329円、XBox360版は7140円となっています。
