続いて登壇したのはパワプロプロダクション エグゼクティブプロデューサーである上原和彦氏です。現在パワプロプロダクションでは本筋のパワプロ以外にも、『メジャーリーグ』『プロ野球スピリッツ』『BASEBALL HEROES』『パワプロクンポケット』『パワプロワールド』『パワプロポータブル』と幅広く展開中ですが、今回は2タイトルについて紹介が行われました。


1つは『実況パワフルメジャーリーグ2』と『同Wii』です。本作はメジャーリーグに舞台を移した作品です。国内では10月4日に発売が決定していますが、米国でも『MLB Power Pros』というタイトルで10月1日の発売が決定しています。パワプロシリーズが米国に上陸するのは今回が初めてですが、向こうのゲームプレイヤーに合わせたアレンジも施されていて、「日本のメディアもメジャーに挑戦する選手のように応援をお願いします。まずは向こうのスタメン入りを目指します!」とのコメントがありました。

もう1つはニンテンドーDSで12月6日にリリースされる『パワプロクンポケット10』です。こちらは(1)野球の進化・・・3Dキャラでゲームプレイも表現も向上(2)対戦の進化・・・ダウンロード対戦やWi-Fiに対応(3)サクセスモード・・・高校野球と奇想天外なストーリーの2本立て、という3つのポイントが紹介されました。


引き続いてビーマニプロダクション エグゼクティブプロデューサーの大田良彦氏が登場しました。ビーマニは1998年に登場した音楽ゲームブームの先駆けですが、現在はDanceDanceRevolution、pop'n music、GuiterFreaks、DrumManiaといったタイトルと共に展開されています。

最初に音楽ゲームを取り巻く状況が説明されました。大田氏によれば、日本では業務用を中心に人気が継続していて、米国では特にDanceDanceRevolutionが家庭用で人気を集めているそうです。昨年は年間100万本を越えていて、ウエストバージニア州の小学校でカリキュラムとして採用されたというニュースがありました。このほかの州でも同様の話は進んでいるそうです。

今回紹介されたのはWiiで10月25日に発売になる『DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY』です。本作は「カラダはじける Wii Love Dance」をテーマに開発されたもので、Wiiで全身ダンスという新しい面白さ、マルチプレーの楽しさ、「楽しんで健康」という事がキーワードとして挙げられました。


『DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY』では足元の専用マットに加えて、リモコンとヌンチャクを使ったカラダ全身のダンスが最大の特徴となります。初心者用の難易度も充実していますので、慣れない方にも安心です。マルチプレーも充実で最大4人まで対戦や協力プレイを楽しめます。1人ミスしたらそこで終わりのハラハラプレイも!? 収録曲も70年代〜最近のものまでありますので、家族揃って楽しめそうです。

また、「楽しんで健康」というテーマでは、シリーズで好評な「ダイエットモード」も搭載。コナミスポーツで実証された消費カロリーを元に、信憑性のあるものになっているそうです。

太田氏ももちろん触ったそうですが「とても楽しい内容に仕上がっている」とのこと。東京ゲームショウではキッズコーナーに出展されます。
